There is potential good news for those of us who have been diagnosed with colon cancer - something as simple as aspirin could be beneficial. Watch the report from CBS News below.
I also recently read that Tagamet (also known as Cimetidine) shows promise with some forms of cancer; however, one reason we do not hear much about these cheap alternatives (and they are not recommended by doctors) is that there isn't money in it for them like there is with chemotherapy.
Medicine has little to do with helping the sick, it is about money - financial gain for the drug companies and many, not all, but many doctors. I have been fortunate. Not a single doctor that I have been working with for the past year, or nearly a year, has ever pushed chemotherapy, or any other unnecessary treatment, on me.
With my father's diagnosis last year with stage four colon cancer and then my own diagnosis four months later with stage two, I have done a fair share of reading about potential cancer cures and it appears to me that when there is possible good news coming from an area not dominated by money and the pharmaceutical companies, they are downplayed and not given much credence.

Oh... and one more thing... Our president and congress are working on healthcare reform and I am sick of all the nay-saying whiners. We need affordable healthcare for all. Even with health insurance my surgery cost me several thousand dollars. Americans shouldn't have to make a choice between surgery or food. This is a no brainer (you bunch of selfish, self centered asshole teabaggers and birthers)!
Anyway... I have gotten way off subject... Watch the video about the potential positive effects of aspirin on colon cancer and if you want to read more on Tagamet and cancer... google it.

i would say in most cases it is mainly about money.
Aspirin literally a trace amount in the doses suggested in the video. In this instance I would say the homeopathic dose of aspirin is being beneficial beyond what drug companies want us to believe. Trace/low daily aspirin amounts are even being suggested regarding heart attack prevention.
The simpler "medicine's" are often the best not necessarily the complicated misrepresented "drugs" that are designed to keep us ill to make money for the corporations.
When the election was over and Barack Obama was elected - the "phony" conservatives went on a cruise and there and then plotted on how they would attack the healing changes Obama planned working on. They stated they would be will to work in a bipartisan manner. LIES! All this with Palins resignation was part of letting her loose all the lies she spreads regarding death panels etc. everything she is supposedly against now she was originally publicly FOR. In other words she is now a paid shill for the corporations. All the demonstrations against are just that paid dog and pony shows - that art of distraction that are so infamous for - damn philistines.
You are right Chris we need affordable health care and health care is about care for the non insured - the underemployed - the seniors and elders. bottom line is many employers do not want to pay a far share to help in insuring their employees cause it would "CUT" into their profits. Some have stated that if they have to eventually pay for insuring them - they would rather shut the doors and close their businesses. What assholes! Stating with the twits from Whole Foods!!! Uh Oh Chris here I go again...
