Okay..... I warned many of you that I was going to post this. I was thinking about editting it (somehow) but I know I would just put it off forever and in the end chicken out.....
This is a clip of me singing "Once Upon A Dream" from the musical Jekyl and Hyde at last Friday night's Halloween Party. The clip is very raw, not complete from start to finish and I flub up some as well.
DISCLAIMER
It was probably one or two o'clock in the morning. It could have been even later. I had had too much to drink and I was singin like I had a mouthful of marbles. Listen to how I am pronouncing my esses. We laughed ourselves silly yesterday listening to my annunciation.
Judge me as you must..... God knows I am my harshes critic and SERIOUSLY can't believe I am posting it.
I'm not as embarrassed as I should be... What the HELL... The party was a blast!
ENJOY... or..........

OMG! It's Shirley McLaine in Postcards From The Edge! Moments of too much to drink and having the great idea at 2AM to say: "I know! Musicals! I'm going to sing!" are the best moments. Oh, have I been there! I actually think you did a pretty good job, Chris! You go girl!
Let's just say.... Ive done worse... Ive done better.... Ive done it more sober... Ive done it drunker.....
But I've never thought about the Shirley McLaine comparison.
I think I like it.... (especially since she shares her birthday with my queen - Barbra Streisand)
and I think Shirley and I have the same hair......
haha
Thanks Jake....
That was an awesome vid Chris! You are a good singer! Thanks for sharing!
Hey Chris,
I thought it was very sweet & well done for a drunken guy!! Honestly it sounds like you have a nice voice. Do you enjoy singing? Even though you didn't want to, THANKS for sharing!!
You're a sweetie!! & you make me smile :)
Michele
If only you had been sitting on the piano - loved it anyway! Thanks!
Truly love that song. PAlestar
Singing for me is involuntary.
I can't help it and although I usually sound pretty good (sometimes I amaze myself)other times I can suck.....
It would have been so much better had I been lying on top of the piano.
Maybe next time Palestar.....
Maybe - look forward to it... sleep well.
Palestar
You just made my whole night!!!!!
I absolutely loved it...especially the esses!! Do not hesitate next time just post it...we don't want to miss a gem like this...of course, make sure you're lying on the piano
xoxoxo

(In a gay british accent he said): "Wow! Ok, lets be honest. I wish I had been drinking what Paula has been drinking!
You didnt look comfortable in your own clothes.
The colors didnt go with the can of diet coke.
The echo in the room didnt sound that bad.
Bad song selection, and you didnt make it your own"!!
(fat black man says) "YO DAWG" thats it, just "YO DAWG"!
(slightly looped has been says): " I shink jew were reawwy guwd" giggles "Thimon kuit loogin at shmee"
(handsome man in Michigan says): " Next time leave on the wig as to help hide your true identity. Post very long and detailed disclamer. And send me a 25 ounce plastic coke cup, some ice, and a 5th of Jack so I can be perfectly prepared! For me Once upon a dream was more like Twice under a nightmare!! NEXT
I LOVED IT!!!! So from the heart and you're a great singer. I love, love, love, love it. Wish I were there, it looks like so much fun.
Thanks Everyone----except Mr Anonymous from Michigan - ya aint so anonymous.
It took me three readings to even understand what the slightly looped has been had to say.
Dontcha wish you were there now... look what you missed big brother!!!
Okay...(handsome man in michigan) (with a gaudy ring obviously) was HYSTERICAL...but wrong...
I thought your song was gorgeous Dah-link....though you looked like Charo with Alopecia (yes I spelled it right: www.alopeciacure.com)...
However, in the future, can you tell that unfortunate boy playing the piano to get a tan and comb his hair????
love, Matt-CHU
We all recognised him - ;-) Mr. Anonymous - ya ya!
Oh, Chris - soon I will share some thoughts with you regarding performing - similar - well except for the being in drag and being a guy - but you'll see. We do get you - we enjoy you - we adore you - we would only laugh with you NEVER at you! Got it - NEVER beat yourself up. As I have said before - you make each of us want to be a better person... Cha Cha Cha...
Palestar
Chris...You really aren't that bad. Just believe in yourself, and sing it like you own it and it would be perfect! I really enjoyed it, and sat though and enjoyed the entire thing!!!! Thanks for being brave enough to share, cause this moment in my life has been enriched, thanks to your courage to share! (psst, I don't think I would have had the courage to share...in fact, I'm a closet singer, and rarely share it with anyone) I'm so glad you did though!
I thought it was very good. I am tone deaf. At least you have a voice.
Ok. That was very precious. And so intimate and funny. Looks like it was a wicked party!
BTW, who ever was the girl laughing, sounds exactly like me! It was weird. I have the same laugh1
The singing came late in the party which started at 8ish. I think I was singing after midnight.....
BOY WHAT A NIGHT!
and Im not sure whose laugh that was... were you here?
It was a great party.....people look forward to it each year.....
Im a little late commenting but I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!!
